If at any time you feel pained or defeated, it is probably because you insist on clinging to ideas that don't work.   Why don't you dare to let go and then you won't lose a thing except for that punishing idea.

Lets face it, there are no real secrets to success. Preparation, hard work, and learning from failure is not a secret, just pure common sense. Try using it sometimes, it works.

There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.

The future is something, which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is. Nothing you can do will change that. Use all the minutes in your lives to excel and become YOU.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

If you’re still drifting aimlessly, unhappy with your present pursuits and unsure of
what you’re here for, why not get back in touch with some deep desires that you
might have covered up over the years.      Find a quiet place, free of interruptions
and maybe some nice music playing in the background.  Pose several questions
to yourself. If I was a teenager and could do it all over again, what paths would I
think about pursuing, regardless of the obstacles that might seem to be there?
What are the obstacles that are keeping me from doing now what I really want to
do?  If I decided to pursue the dream, what could I begin on now to overcome the
obstacle?

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Lakota Instructions for Living

Friend do it this way - that is,
whatever you do in life,
do the very best you can
with both your heart and mind.

And if you do it that way,
the Power Of The Universe
will come to your assistance,
if your heart and mind are in Unity.

When one sits in the Hoop Of The People,
one must be responsible because
All of Creation is related.
And the hurt of one is the hurt of all.
And the honor of one is the honor of all.
And whatever we do effects everything in the universe.

If you do it that way - that is,
if you truly join your heart and mind
as One - whatever you ask for,
that's the Way It's Going To Be.

Location: The Dakota Nation includes the native peoples who once lived in the northern forests and along the upper Mississippi River in northern Minnesota. In time, the Dakota Nation divided into three groups (Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota), each moving in different directions but still maintaining close ties to one another.

The Lakota are one division of the Dakota Nation, also known as the Western Dakota or Teton. When the Dakota Nation split into three main groups, the Lakota moved from northern Minnesota to the plains north of the Black Hills to the Platte River, and westward into present day Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Known as the great buffalo hunters of the west, the Lakota are the largest division of the Dakota Nation.

The Lakota were the first of the Dakota to leave the forest. They headed out west and lived a migratory life, following the buffalo they needed for food, clothing, and shelter. Even though they ranged far from their Minnesota homeland, they still brought back furs to trade into southern Minnesota each summer.

The Lakota consist of seven main bands today:

Sihasapa- Reservations at: Cheyenne River, Standing Rock

Oohenumpa- Reservation at: Cheyenne River

Miniconjou- Reservation at: Cheyenne River

Hunkpapa- Reservation at: Standing Rock

Itazipco- Reservation at: Cheyenne River

Sicangu- Reservation at: Rosebud

Oglala- Reservation at: Pine Ridge

You must finish each day and be done with it. If you have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities may have crept in; forget them as soon as you can.  Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Out of adversities come greatness; out of necessities come innovations. We must live by these words to overcome the problems facing our country and us. Neither our government nor our employers can change the problems before us only ourselves, one America United.

In the image of our forefathers, we must work together, to renew the purpose of our nation and insure the dreams for our future will become a reality. It is imperative to preserve our heritage, understand our roots and defend our freedom. United by a common cause our country became the envy of the world. We must once again unite as Americans.

We as Americans must provide the vision of the American way, the way of freedom, integrity, innovation, leadership, friendship and dreams for every American. We must believe in our country, our creator and ourselves and have the faith that even in the face of adversity our efforts can and will make a difference. FDR stated, "There is nothing to fear but fear itself." We cannot become stifled by fear, stress, uncertainty or divisiveness. But choose freedom over fear.

The vision that we must share is about freedom, innovation, teamwork and opportunities for our future It's about an American way the only way to realize our dreams, share our vision and insure our futures. The dream everyone in, or coming to America

Sharing was not a dream of one religion, race or gender but an American dream. A dream of freedom, spiritually, ideologically and economically. Martin Luther King exclaimed, "I have a dream"; John F. Kennedy said, "it's not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".

As Americans, I repeat as Americans, we must embrace those visions and act upon them, not just for our individual benefit, but for the benefit of all. We were not granted freedom to abuse one another, condemn one another, and ignore one another. We were granted freedom to become more than the sum of all of us combined. Freedom to improve upon, not destroy what has been done.

To do this means a shared vision that works for everyone not just a select few equal opportunity for all the desire to dream for all. Without our dreams, without our visions, without our freedom and without "In God We Trust", we as Americans will indeed fail. The United States of America

"United we stand, United we shall prevail".

"United we stand, Divided we fall".

With Hope and Conviction,
A fellow American

I learned that the only way you are going to get anywhere in life is to work hard at it. Whether you're a musician, a writer, an athlete, insurance adjuster or a businessman, there is no getting around it. If you do, you'll win.  If you don't you won't. Sitting around moaning and groaning won't cut it. Get up, get active, learn your trade, stay in touch with fellow adjusters, make new adjuster freinds, stay in contact with reputable vendors. Be successful.

So what do we do? Anything - something. So long as we don't just sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we've satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late.

Nearly every person who develops an idea, works at it up to the point where it looks impossible and then gets discouraged.  That's not the place to become discouraged.
If you quit, you lose. If you continue, you win. It is the same in the adjusting arena.

I studied the lives of great men and famous women, and I found that the men and women who got to the top were those who did the jobs they had in hand, with everything they had of energy and enthusiasm and hard work.

Quote from our 33rd President, Harry S. Truman, my favorite President and our last one who had a brain and common sense.

Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. Just determine that which you wish to create and then go for it.

As a man or woman, try not to become a person of success, but rather a person of value. Success always follows value.

Learn to express rather than impress.  Expressing evokes a "me too" attitude while impressing evokes a "so what" attitude.  One thing you don't want to do when working with an insured is leave an impression of "so what".

I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed. This is a statement from Michael Jordon, one of our finest basketball players. Sometimes you must fail in order to achieve success. I believe his failure and then his tenaticity to succeed, speaks for itself.

You have a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say "thank you? Thanks for being alive and well. Thanks for having friends. Thanks for all you have achieved. Sometimes we forget to say thanks for all we have. We weren't handed what we have on a silver platter, we earned it. Be thankful every day for what you are and what you have accomplished. Never give up your desire to become a top gun adjuster. It is possible. Everything is possible if we just DO IT.

You can always grow from your problems and challenges, from the things that didn't work out.  That's when you really learn. You do what you have to do to stay afloat and prosper.

I love the person that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflections.
