6 Replies and 4126 Views PDF Editor  4126  6 Started by  StormSupport Nitro PDF Editor...   Nice little tool, lets you Stack, Edit and Combine Files and you get a free 30 day demo.  If you decide to keep it, its only $99.00 and can have 2 live versions, one on each computer.  I have one on my laptop and the other on my PC, works like a charm!    A nice little program.  I've been using it for over a year now and highly recommend it.  ~M~

8 Replies and 4733 Views Skater Shoes  4733  8 Started by  Tim Wieneke Had to pass along this recommendation.  I have owned cougar paws and they're great and all but imho, deadly if the slightest bit of dew is still on the roof and the soles seem to wear out every 5th roof.  I picked up a pair of $20 shoes from walmart made for skateboarding and have to say they are the best non-cougar roof shoes I've ever worn - and you can actually wear them on the ground as well.  I'll get the CPs when I need them again, but frankly I've been on about 30 roofs in ...

1 Replies and 6858 Views RV for Sale. 2003 TRAIL-LITE BY R-VISION B- Plus    6858  1 Started by  Tom Toll Due to my health condition, we are selling our 03 Minnie B plus, by Trail-Lite. Really hate to do it, but, it is necessary. It is in mint condition with 7,000 miles on it. Fully self contained with few hours on the Onan generator. We used it in the Katrina event for 5 months and went to California in it to work the fires. We used it in our trips to insured's houses, as it is small enough to park and work out of. I can send pics if requested. My e-mail address is ttollhouseearthlink.net.

1 Replies and 3507 Views Camera Purchase  3507  1 Started by  Tom Toll What I wanted to say was a thanks to Bob for recommending the Canon SD870IS. I purchased one and am in love with it. Small, easy to carry to the roof, 28MM wide angle is great. Now I have the Sony DSLR 350 and this one. I am in camera heaven. Thanks Bob.

Can anyone tell me anything about this duo from experience Are there less expensive measure devices that will do the same thing Is it all about the bluetooth technology or is Xactimate the only software this works with. I know nothing about how it works. Appreciate any input.

5 Replies and 4511 Views Angle Finder  4511  5 Started by  okclarryd Folks, Sears has a 10' electronic angle finder, pitch finder, level, etc, for less than $40.&160; It has a digital read-out that will show up well in a photo.&160; This little gizmo will stop all the arguments as to the roof pitch and whether it is steep or how steep. Just another useful little toy.

5 Replies and 4760 Views Check out Wranger Caprenter @ Walmart  4760  5 Started by  Ray Hall I have turned back a few adjusters because the pant, shirt or shoes are not professional looking. This will pass my muster and I purchase&160;two&160;pant to go with my $55.00 Eddie Bauer two pant. The material is very good cotton mix, dry cleans or wash/iron very well. Cost $17.00 each. On the left leg is a patch pocket with velcrow that will hold your fax max laser or camera. A longer folding plumbers ruler pock is also usable. One the right leg is a pencil/chaulk pocket. (Topic has multiple pages1 2 )
I am looking for something that will allow me to draw my diagram in the rain.  I live just North of Seattle, so I can't really schedule my inspections around the weather.  It seems every time I hop on a roof a cloud comes overhead and soaks my papers so my pen won't write on them.  I have tried using overhead overlays to cover my pad, but that just ends up being a mess when the underside gets wet when I go to draw.  Anyone have or know of something to help protect from rain

11 Replies and 11047 Views Anyone NOT carry ladder for 2-story?  11047  11 Started by  Olivegreen Guys I was wondering if anyone here does not carry a 24' extension ladder access to 2-story roofs.  I have been carrying mine forever but use it about 2 of the time.  I still carry it because I don't want to have to schedule a time to meet up with someone who has one.  I get on all 1-story and 2-story 'walk-ups' with my xtendclimb.  I had a little problem with the xtendclimb the other day and looked new ones, they actually have a 15' model now. If I gave up my extensi...
