Symbility Solutions Signs Contract with Chubb

TORONTO, ONTARIO --(Marketwire – March 12, 2009) - Symbility Solutions Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp. (TSX-V:AUT), has signed a five year contract with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies of Warren, New Jersey.

Chubb will deploy Symbility’s platform which consists of two components, Symbility.NET and mobile claims. Symbility.NET, the collaborative workflow management solution, will enhance Chubb’s existing integration of their claims management system with field activities, manage the workflow among all parties and will provide custom reporting and comparative analysis. Chubb’s outside field adjusters will use mobile claims, Symbility’s wireless application, for estimating claims and managing adjuster workflow.

“We look forward to building a strong partnership with Symbility,” states William Turnbull, senior vice president and worldwide first party claim officer of Chubb & Son.  “We are quite pleased with the promise of their products and are excited by the creativity, collaboration and commitment the Symbility team has demonstrated to date.”

"Symbility is proud to be the mobile claims estimating platform of choice for a company as reputable as Chubb," states James Swayze, president and CEO of Symbility Solutions.  "Recognizing their deep commitment to customer service, we are confident that the mobility and seamless flow of data driven by Symbility's platform will be of great benefit to Chubb."

“Symbility is excited to be expanding in the northeastern United States by working with Franklin Mutual, a company with a proud history of customer service,” states James Swayze, chief executive officer of Automated Benefits Corp.  “In troubled economic times, companies that can improve operational excellence and customer service are those that have the staying power. After over 100 years in business, FMI is a company that recognizes the need to embrace the latest techniques, processes and technology to remain strong.”

Back in 1997-8, my software company had morphed into a vendor and we met with the Chubb Group up in NJ and received the contract to do their claims in the Tidewater VA region. We had hail storms in '99, and every Chubb claim I received was 2 or 3 stories tall and 10/12 to 12/12 in pitch with multiple exposures and slopes. Very nice, high end residences. But every time I had to get on a roof, I felt I was taking my life in my hands. I used ropes and balls. The billing schedule was better than our Nationwide and Travelers claims we were doing, but the tall, steep thing made them MUCH slower to inspect and close. But I was very impressed with the Chubb organization. I handled Chubb claims in the panhandle after Erin and Opal as well, but I never spoke to anyone at the company.

I believe Chubb also writes high end flood coverage with coverage limits up to $15 million. Maybe the only domestic carrier to write flood coverage. Bet that's a steep premium as most places in flood zones tend to flood. Go figure.

Chubb also has a presence in the oil and gas industry.

It makes me have a warm fuzzy feeling that the whole insurnace industry has not been brain washed by the Orem Oracle.

I am with you on that comment Ray. I wish I could try out the Symbility program, as they charge by the usage per file, not scamming us for $1.600.00 every year for inferior products. I may try it anyway.

You can sign up for a demo. I have not played with it yet, but I know that you have to go in under Windows Explorer. Firefox will not work.
