I am so sorry to hear that. May Larry recover and the family be blessed. In the position I have been in the last two months, I undertand more how priceless life is. I always hate to hear these kind of stories. Life can be cut short so unexpectedly. Needless to say, they are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi all...I wanted to say that I am sorry for the Petit's..I was there for the wreck..My fiance and I were the ones who had pulled Mrs. Petit from the car.. While my fiance was trying to bring her back, I was with Mr Larry trying to keep him from going into shock..It took the cops 15 min to get there, so I had time to know a man in such little time....If anyone knows how he is doing, please let me know..I would love to hear from him or his daughter that I spoke to the day after...Thanks...Mary

Larry worked for me doing claims in Lake Charles area and I have helped as much as I can and have kept in touch with his family. As you can imagine, he is not recovering very well, but he is making an effort to stay busy. Thank you so very much for stopping and assisting. I know you and your fiance did everything you possibly could. Larry offen expressed how much you did and how kind the people are from this area. You've done yourself, your family and your community a great service in the eyes of our company and Petit family. Thank You

Thank you so much for letting me know that...I am glad he is staying busy...I can only imagine how it is on him....I just pray that he will be strong and carry on...Please let him know that I am thinking of him and his family...And for the record, I would stop and do it all over again..There are not to many people that would have stoped...As hard as it has been for me, I still think of him and pray he will make it through all of this with yours, his family and co-workers support..God bless you and take care...Thanks again, Mary.

Mary, Thank You for helping my mom and dad at the accident site. My dad is trying to deal with his loss as are the me and my sister. As you can imagine it is not easy. I still really can't believe what has happened. I feel like she must just still be in La., although I know thats not true. I know you never met my mother but she was a wonderful person. I'm not just saying that because she was my mom. She cared about everone around her more than herself. She was 63 and as beautyful as wemen half her age. She was very proud of her family. I have twin daugters who she was especially proud of. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have gotten to spend the whole week with her one week before the accident. We went to eat at a couple of her favorite restauraunts and she camped out on the floor with my girls. The girls love to do that. While she was up that week she purchased a motor home and I drove her back to La. in it. We spent 20 + hours in that thing together on the way there. This was the happiest I've seen my mom in years. She felt her and my dad were doing somthing that mattered. She said all of the people down there were so nice and she loved talking to them. I'm not sure I'll ever feel right again, after all everyone around our hometown knows I'm a mamma's boy. She spoiled me and my sister every chance she got. Well I have to go but if you read this you can feel free to call us. My home # is 330 699 8846. If you get the machine it says Petit construction because I own a small construction co.

Everyone at Renfroe, I really appreciate everything you all did for my Mom and Dad while they were workind down there. My mom and dad couldn't say enough about how great a group of people you all are. I also really appreciate the show of support after the accident. You made the whole ordeal a little easier to handle. Special thanks to Mrs. Renfroe, Paul, and William.

Thank you to all of you at Renfroe, the State Farm Insurance Catastrophe Teams in Lake Charles, LA to Mary Short and her fiance, and to those of you who know my Aunt Tammy and Uncle Bob Orsburn and to everyone who knew my mom, Karol, and my dad, Larry, for your outpouring of caring words, concern, support, friendship, thoughts and prayers, cards, flowers, gifts of money and food during my family's most difficult time we have ever faced. There really aren't enough words to tell you all how grateful we are. I am Leslie, Larry's daughter. I was fortunate to meet some of you in the hospital when my brother, sister-in-law, and I came down there to bring my dad home after the accident and to meet many more of you again this past weekend. It was so nice to put the names of the people my mom told me about with the faces. After seeing firsthand the devestation the hurricanes left behind, I know you all are truly special people. I have so much respect for the work that you all do and I know it is hard to be away from your family, friends, and homes... thank you... I wish everyone in the United States and the rest of the world could know what you all unselfishly give of yourselves every day. My dad is not very good with a computer and emails so I am writing on his behalf. He wants me to tell you all how much he misses you all and his job there, and how thankful he is for each and every one of you. It is helping him get thru this most difficult time of losing his wife, best friend, and "partner in crime" of 43 years by knowing how much you all care and that the work they were doing down there and the people they met in the office on Ryan Street, in the destroyed homes they visited, and even in the laundrymat, hotels, and restaurants where they ate were worth every minute they spent there. Mom and dad had a hard time adjusting to their new lifestyle at first, but with your continued support of their hard work and seeing the relief on the claimants' faces when they showed up at what was left of their homes, they were making it... and I know all of this because my mom and I talked at least 2 to 3 times a day and she told me everything! Dad is home in Ohio for now and we are taking it day by day. He can't stop talking about you all and how much he appreciates what you have done for him both before mom died and after. While it is hard for those of us who survive a loved one, and I know so many of you have been thru this before as it is part of life, it was her time to go and God has welcomed another angel with open arms and she will be watching over each and every person she knew and loved just like she did down here on earth. We finally got dad a new cell phone so feel free to call if you would like (330-606-4622), I know he would love to hear from you. Take care of yourselves, your families, and each other and have a wonderful Holiday season. Sincerely, Leslie Petit

Good afternoon. After learning of the tragedy stuck that fateful November night, William called me. Stunned by the occurrence, William and I talked a while about life, the meaning of it, and the necessity to cherish the time we have here on earth. I was impressed with the amount of strength that William and Paul found within themselves to assist the Petit family while they remained in Lake Charles. It was truly touching how William, Paul, and Renfroe (its owner's and other employees) banded together in order to get the logistics of things resolved, all the while demonstrating great compassion, capability, and strength. I would like to comment on Leslie's words as shown here: "I have so much respect for the work that you all do and I know it is hard to be away from your family, friends, and homes... thank you... I wish everyone in the United States and the rest of the world could know what you all unselfishly give of yourselves every day." I want to personally thank you for those words. I, too, wish the average American could realize not only the quantity of time but also the quality of time that adjusters give up with their families in order to make someone else's life a little easier. It's a huge sacrifice that not only the adjuster takes on, but also his or her family - all for the greater good. When taking into consideration tragedy's such as this one, as well as all of the devastation that has occurred due to the weather patterns in the world, everyone should stop and take a look around and be thankful for the good times in life ... hug their children, their spouses or significant other, their friends, and anyone else who happens to need one at the time. E.A. Renfroe and Company should be commended on the steps that were taken in order help this family. More companies in America should take notice ... it is not always about the bottom line, but rather human compassion and understanding. God be with your family always. Respectfully, Melissa K. Teal, William's wife

Mary, I will let my sister know that you've posted and give her your number. Thanks again for everything. I'm sorry you have to drive by that spot. I imagine that would cause alot of bed memories to surface. We are really missing my mom right now with the holidays and all. Thats what provoked me to look here again. It's very hard to believe this is my new reality. To feel close to my mom I look here knowing she spent her last moments in La. with all of you. Crazy but somehow it helps. Well Merry Christmas everyone.
