Is Crawford good company? I am fairly new to the industry, tell me what you know about TWIA claims as well. Is it a good choice? I am afraid to make a bad decision at this critical time, when there's a lot of opportunity there. Right now I am doing a bunch of CWPs in New Orleans for Allstate.

Crawford is one of the most respected and sought after IA firms in the WORLD.

TWIA has a decent fee schedule and some notable ancillary items which must be considered when taking all into consideration.

If you are a seasoned adjuster, then by all means seek out Crawfors and perhaps TWIA, if your are not, they will know in a week and you will be back in NOLA with no funds.

Well. I got an offer from them, and going to San Antonio for induction this Thursday. I don't know what exactly you mean by a seasoned adjuster. I've seen guys that have been doing it for 20 years and they are hmmm how to put it mildly... not the sharpest people I've seen, let's put it this way. I have great computer skills, can climb ANY roof, I am a fast learner, very good with people and most importantly I am incredibly persistent. Funds are no problem, I have savings unlike most of the adjusters.

Go get 'em, Alex.

Just watch out for the guy in the Appleby's parking lot.

He will lead you astray.

Not to be confused with an ashtray.

Crawford and Co is probably the biggest iA company in the country and maybe worldwide, or if not a close2nd to GAB. Very reliable, and will have a ton of work from the cats. Mr Cupps can fill you in more on the company and he is very familiar with them.

I will affirm that Crawford and Company is the largest independent adjusting firm in the country, and possibly in the world. They also have branches in all major cities and many smaller cities as well. If you are able to do a good job for them you are as likely to get ongoing work from them as from anyone. If you are able to help on branch assist assignments, there's a chance they can even keep you busy between catastrophes. Bud Trice was in charge last I knew and he is very good to work for.
