Has anyone else noticed that campgrounds are becoming less and less adjuster friendly?  Yes you can stay in this spot for a week then you have to move to another spot  for 3 days then you will have to move to a spot for 4 days with no full hookup, then we are booked for a weekend so you must leave completely

all because some reservation clerk leased a spot for 2 nights and refuses to change em around

anyone find a RV park  in or near Omaha

We are in Omaha and thought about bringing the RV.  The only park I could find was Tomes and, although he said he had spaces, he would not give us a reservation.  He said you just had to show up and then he'd let you know because he "wants to see what he's getting."  He asked what type of RV we had and I said "Bounder."  He said "They're junk!"    We decided to stay in a hotel for this storm.  Wasn't about to spend the $ to get our "junk" here and then have to stay in a parking lot!  Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear that you are getting type of reaction in Omaha.  I lived there for over 20 years, and apparently you found the scum which is actually pretty hard to find in Omaha.  Here's a couple o' tips...on the east side which is actually Council Bluffs IA, they have an RV park at the Bluffs Run Casino (but I think it may have changed names recently), and that's where all the RV'rs park during the College World Series that just got over in Omaha.  On the west side (you probably drove right past this, Swink), and this is out of city limits...but it is by the Ashland/Gretna exit, which is the furthermost SW Omaha suburbs.  I can't remember the name of it, but it's on the north side of I-80 by the truckstop & weigh station maybe around exit 430??  Granted, it is a few miles out of Omaha, but depending on your work, maybe a lot of it is on the south & west side.

Not to mention that you all probably hit the "campers" that left the city to travel 20 miles for the 4th of July weekend.  I feel your pain!  If it were me running one of those places, I'd be like the owner of a hooker hotel (or a massage parlor)...who's gonna be here a while & keep bringing others in??

Larry, I'm sure you could afford it.   Mr Tomes wasn't that far off the mark.   It's a 1992 but it still runs!   And Mike, we have been very impressed with Omaha and the people we have dealt with so far.  It's a really nice city.  I mentioned to Nelson about the RV park at the casino and he said "no way."  I think he's afraid I wouldn't get any work done.
