As I'm sure you have heard, tornadoes ripped through already damaged NOLA this morning.  I have spoken to my brother, who is working there right now.  He said that as of 7:30 am, his cat office had recieved 47 claims, all this before the agent's offices had opened.  I have a friend in the Carrolton area, and she had severe damage to her home, and several trees down in her yard.  More impressively, though, is that her house was holding up her next door neighbor's house, and a tree was through that dwelling.  She said the whole block sustained damage, but could not get out to get an idea as to how widespread the damage was.  I know there was damage in at least three seperate areas, with one fatality, and about 20 injuries.

Interesting to note that my brother stated that the independents that have been working out of his cat office were for the most part gone, and even some staffers had been sent home this week.
