Looks like the next chance for foul weather may be just off the coast.

What are the chances for deployment for something like Gabrielle? Doesn't look very strong.

Gabrielle is in the early stages and we are waiting to see if it forms a tropical depression and then a hurricane. We will have to watch it hoping it does a lot of damage and no deaths.

Watching the satelite it is hard to believe the models, but they mostly all develop and send this west. Best guess somewhere between Charleston and RI, somewhere between a TS and a Cat 3, somewhere between Sat to Monday. Maybe.

Here are some of the models

Looks like Clark beat me to it.

I tried to get the animated version showing the different stages from trop storm all the way up to CAT 3 loaded but it won't do it.

What it shows is a strengthening as it approaches land striking as a CAT 2-3 somewhere around Wilmington NC.

I find these really interesting because this site was pretty close as far as Dean and Felix went.

Wunderground does not predict weather or create models, they report the availabe infromation.  The same models are available on any weather site, sometimes the graphics change.

Well I am just watching with mixed feelings. We can use the work but we live in Southern New England (CT) at least I am glad we moved from the shoreline more inland.

99L removed from life support. Possible TD7 Gabrielle today. Airplane departs at 1:15 PM (EDT) OBX? offshore, TS or Cat 1 . Stay turned to the further adventures of the swirl that wouldn't die.
