I did not travel to storm sites on a full times basis until 1994 thru 2005. I now remember how it feels to be at home for several weeks and not get one phone call to make any income in claims work for as long as 6 months. I can not put my self in the shoes of people who have guit their day job and spent hundreds or thousands of $ on schools or classes; but this happens when you are WOW (waiting on weather)(offshore jargan).
I hope that some day all of you new people will be deployed, but it will take another Katrina to get all you working again. I have been blessed with many years of company and Independant Commercial Liability Experience in construction, energy, main street, products and completed operations.
This has been my bacon for the last 14 months. I am competing with ALL the good liability adjusters in Texas and survive by attention to details and my reports. Use this time to hone up on your writing and reporting skills and when you get deployed this will extend your stay. Please PM me if I can give you any hope.
