    Roy,
I don't know what you did to CADO the last time you brought the FORUMS down but it is a MESS! I can not find a "contact us" anywhere on the site. My "active topics" is not working as it used to and I can not watch my responds to my topics when someone posts. What is going on?

John, I am having problems too. I cannot get the most recent post to come up. Your having the same problems we all are having. Hopefully Roy will get this fixed very soon.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Roy I like the new look but I know you did not upgrade just for looks but for function. I am sure this is going to be better to handle the increased traffic that will be here for the next year perhaps. Change is not usually welcomed at the time but waiting for a better time means no change at all often. :)

I wonder if people outside of TX and the IKE aftermath states even understand the impact of IKE. While they will be smaller I wonder if the number of claims outside of TX due to IKE will not equal the number in TX. We had an adjuster stop by yesterday to pick up a batch from an area carrier to work in a town about 50-60 miles up the road. He was told they would take two weeks but with people just getting power back on for the most part I expect that carrier has not seen more than 10% of the claims coming their way. My 92 year old father in law stated he has never seen this kind for damage statewide. Louisville actually had Cat 1 like winds.

Keep up the good work and thank you Roy for providing CADO to all.

    Tom,
I also noticed the site is much slower and I am now a "new" member and it wiped out my graphic on my signature line. Like Gale said, "upgrading" is seldom easy but I think this is like the Microsoft "upgrade" taking users out of VISTA and sending them back to XP (the better platform).

    Roy,

I'm gonna vote for putting it back like it was.

This is not a step forward, buddy

I tend to agree, this new version has a lot of bugs in it still, or changes that may be planned but a lot different. How can you get a link into a post now? Took me quite awhile to figure it out under the old system and once I figured it out, it won't do it anymore. Also is there a way to open up a thread and only get the items not read previously? Mine opens up each thread at the beginning of it and if there is much to the thread it takes quite awhile to get to the new posts.

    Hi,

Sorry for the trouble with the upgrade.
I was not aware that all of the settings, avatars and some of the signatures would be lost.  That was not listed anywhere before I upgraded.

    1) For the avatars and the signatures you may need to check your profile.  All of the avatars are in the folder but it does not look like they are attached to the forum profile.  Some signatures are still place so I'm not sure what happen to the others. To check your forum profile just click on your name while in the forum.  Your site profile can be found by clicking your name at the top of most of the CADO pages.

    2) Active Topics , My Topics and Most Recent topics should still work as before again you may need to check your profile settings and make sure the old setting were not changed or lost. We did lose the "Read" flag after the upgrade so topics that you had read will show as not read.

    3) Links in the body of the message, the only thing you need to do is type it or add it for example: http://www.catadjuster.org will both return a active link just by typing it with no extra work needed.

    4) The forums do seem to be slower, this may be related to some setting and I'm checking that out now.

    5) "new member" status, again this is a setting and it appears that it went back to the default settings, I believe I just had all them as member, but I do not recall. Suggestions?

    6) I cannot go back at this point. sorry

    7) I hope to restore all of the prior settings today and maybe this will help.

    8) You can get to the  "contact us" form in at least four ways, by clicking the word "CADO Help" found just below the menu bar above(9/28 edit -changed "CADO Help" to "Contact Us" today), from the "Home" drop-down on the menu bar select "Contact Us", by clicking the word "CADO" on the menu bar and by selecting  the CADO Help page from the drop-down under CADO again on the menu bar.

    Sorry for the extra trouble,

Try the setting in your profile under My Preferences, the Jump to First Unread Post, and see it if helps.
