Does anyone know what other companies are 10 on and 4 off like Allstate?  Looks like most are 23 and 7 or something like that.

You lost me on this one.

My assignments or deployments were "when you're done, you can go home".

Every SF storm I have ever worked 7 days/wk until done, other than a paper day every so often which I set myself as needed. And I have had some storm managers do the Sunday meeting, as needed.

I have a friend who has been on AllState's Cat Team (as staff) for over 20 years.  During slower times, it's like 10 on/4 off.  Lots of vacation time built up, he's home for maybe 2-3 weeks at a time.  But when it hits the fan, they go something like 21 on/4 off.

We used to refer to the staffy cat team as "job security" when I was an independent adjuster.
