I have a strong gut feeling that California is going to have a very large earthquake within the next 18 months. I suggest you all start gearing up for it. Get  your EQ training behind you and get CA. certified.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

In Northridge non of us were certified (1994) We all had to take a one day course about California claim practice and that was it. Is any one selling an Atomic Bomb Explosion certification course ?

In the 94 EQ in  Northridge, CA. It seems all the adjusters were on a day rate from $500 on dwellings up to $800 per day on large commercial. The first cuts began in 6 weeks and ever week thereafter. The top people stayed for over 2 years. An earthquake loss does not place the main  skill focus on cranking out computer estimates, but in data gathering , settlement discussions and good reports.

I have been adjusting for 8yrs now but never have EQ certified. Every time a class has come up in my area, "ive been on storm. I've heard you can get it online. Is this true and where if so?

I just finished US Staffing's CEA 1-day certification. Good course, taught by the head guy at the CA Authority. After N/Ridge, CA requires all adjusters working a CA earthquake, to have the CEA cert. Otherwise the insurance co's face audits, etc of any one not certified. Frequency of earthquakes high enough to have killed someone, happens every 6.7 years. The last one was N/Ridge, 94. They are under the impression that CA is past due!

US Staffing's position was that carrier's they are nego with want as many of their people CEA cert. as possible. Can you see the "hand writing on the wall"?
