Does anyone have copies of the current insurance policies offered by Citizens Insurance in Florida?  A search of their website did not reveal PDF copies of the policies.  I know in 2004 & 2005, I was able to download the policies.  It seems strange they want to keep the policies away from the public.

On the CADO Policy Support page we provide a pdf of the CIT DW2 7/02, BTW the link to pdf is also provided and it's comes from their site.

This link should get you to the correct page on the Citizens web site.  The forms are readily available, you just need to know where to look.  You can also view historical policies that are no longer in use.

Kim,

Thanks for the link, but you must have an ePas account to access the policies from that page.  Citizens has revised several of their policies, which is why I am interested in reading them.  I can find summaries of coverage, but as any good adjuster knows the true power is in the word written in the policy.

Sorry, they locked it out after I uploaded the reply/link.  When I was originally looked none of the tabs were locked.  Now all but two are locked.

OK, lets try it another way.  Go to the main page

https://www.citizensfla.com

click on Adjuster Resources tab top right

Look over to the right column and click on Underwriting forms.

The tabs still show locked but you can view the contents.

If you get a request for a pass code when leaving the main page type citizens in both.  This won’t work for a CTS log-in though.

Thanks Kim.  That provides the information I was seeking.

Everyone needs to read the lead story on the home page. Citizens claims to have 5k plus adjusters ready to roll. After sitting this line of work out for the last four years, I find myself in Atlanta for going on three months. We all know the drill. The adjusters that I have met or spoken to on this gig, all say they will only work for Citizens as a last resort. It seems Citizens is the insurer of last resort as well as the employer of last resort. I wish we could start a poll and see excatly how many adjusters put Citizens number one on their FL list.

Did anyone sign a contract comitting to work for only Citizens? Everyone please read the article.

Thanks,

Alan

I'm sure every one gets the emails daily about the new Citizens classes. I was certified on the first go round, and as I understant it, that was thrown out and we need to recertify. I have not really paid close attention, but just gather that the second cert has been thrown out and maybe there is something new? I still contend that if a major hurricane hits Fla., your certification will be your pulse.

Alan,
You did note that in that article that they mentioned that these adjusters have committed to work for Citizens on a priority basis or something like that. I got the impression that this meant they will work for Citizens when they get the call, no matter if they are working elsewhere, etc. I would venture to guess that of those totals they claim, in the event of a large storm they will be lucky to get 1500 people not working already or ones that haven't committed elsewhere. I'd like to see the listing of adjusters that they have. i bet that some of us may be surprised to find our own names on that listing.
