I published a forum at http://adjustersonly.net/phpBB2/index.php in response to complaints like this one here. I had heard from numerous people who did not like having theirs posts edited or censored. I made it known to a list of adjusters that this forum is for anyone who wants to post whatever he wants and it will remain unmoderated with the exception of those who merely post links to promote their affiliate site or porn sites. I believe that people have the right to look as intelligent or stupid as they desire. Most regular readers of any forum will soon learn who is contributing something useful and who is not. I also believe that we worry too much about "hurting someone's feelings" or "offending others".

I don't,  however, think that most people, even those who complain about being censored are willing to do anything about it. Most people are like sheep and follow where they are lead. All of the things that have been posted on this site could have been posted on that site without censorship. I don't think that I could even come up with a list of 511 words to censor. But even though this knowledge has been available to the 48 registered users there, nothing has been sad for a long time on any of the threads. Some people make comments about how nobody says anything, because there isn't any stimulating topics there. I have made it very clear that we will create any category on request and topics are created by the members. So, any complaint here about censorship should be considered whining by the peanut gallery. This only referres to those who actually new of the fourm over there and is not directed at anyone who knew nothing about the other forum where the term moderator is moderated.

I personally like the moderated ones. I know it is somewhat censorship but it seems many people need to be censored to some extent. I've seen other boards that are not cat related that allow curse words etc and to be honest I get tired of reading constant cursing.

I'm not saying I'm an angel. I use bad words myself, just not on a board where we should be showing our professionalism.

While "dope" isn't really a bad word, would you want a future employer to read that in one of your posts? He may think you can not speak proper English and decide not to hire you for a job or contract.

In a way I think it's sad that adults have to be moderated but I've seen it too many times when they aren't and it turns into pure smut.
