| It appears that only some of the financial posts were moved over to that link. The rest were deleted. | | | |

| I was logged in when I clicked on the link the 2nd and 3rd time and when I copied the link and pasted it into the browser url so that I could verify the path. Since I cannot get to the address, it would seem that all of the financial posts were deleted. What are these people afraid of? | | A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine. | Michael, go to the adjusters den, and look for Chat about it. The political thread and taxes are in there. I also have a question for you in that thread. | | | Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. | |

| It did not work for me. I tried it numerous times. I will try Tom's advice. | | A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine. | Roy, I respectfully disagree. Several posts regarding finances were deleted. Mine was one of them. It was regarding the economy and it was a conversation going back and forth with Tom. | | | |

| No, unfortunately I didn't keep them. It was a good topic about money though. It's not really that big of a deal, but it is odd that they would disappear. | | | |

| Walter, I think I found yours; Is this it? Yes, that's it, it's Bush's fault! And the gas companies control the price at the pump!! Come on!!!
Seriously, that's just not an accurate assessment. This country has been in debt for 80 years and Bush hasn't created anymore debt than any other president. There's never been a surplus and there never will. Clinton didn't have a surplus, it was an extrapolated formula of projected surplus 10 years after he was out, so don't even go there. Plus capital gain rates were outrageous during his tenure.
Companies like Exxon and BP have little to do with the price at the pump or the price of heating oil. They may charge a few extra pennies here and there, but they don't set the price. The market is set by commodity brokers and futures analysts all over the world, trading billions of dollars and barrells every day, just like stock. Exxon and the like need to purchase their oil on the world market and hence higher gas prices. That's why those emails about ''don't buy gas on such and such a date" are such a joke. Perpetuated by people that haven't a clue about economics. Fuel prices in this country are the lowest in the world.
I can't speak for all, but the economy has been quite good for me actually. My 403b has skyrocketed the past 2 years. And if you're investments have gone up, chances are they are invested in those gas companies you hate and the overseas markets that are prospering by the massive Chinese expansion. Buy emerging market funds and growth stocks in technology. That's where were headed. Yes, we owe trillions. We're also OWED trillions. The US is the biggest debtor and creditor in the world. The best thing about the US economy is that you're able to accumulate vast amounts of wealth and actually keep it.
You gotta move forward and get out of the manufacturing and factory mindset phase. That's a sign of progress and accepting change is part of that same philosophy. | | | Adjuster Directory | The Licensing Page | The Cane Page | |

| | It's still in the database, so are a few others but they are not viewable within any thread. I'm going to take the site down tonight and reboot the server and reindex the data. | | | Adjuster Directory | The Licensing Page | The Cane Page | |

| | Walter and k'ung Fu-tzu your post are now viewable in the new thread. I found about five posts in the database that had the new thread ID but still have the old thread forum ID so they were not visible. I'm not sure if this was the main problem or not but when I updated the forum ID to the current location they populated the thread. | | | Adjuster Directory | The Licensing Page | The Cane Page | |
