It seems, Roy, that if you own  a popular web site, such as CADO, things happen that you cannot control, due to the devisivness of others. You have always kept your baby going and that is an admirable feat. The down time just reminded me of how much I enjoy coming on here to post and moderate. Moderation has been made easy due to the new class of people we have on here.  Common sense, is the best sense, after all.

What troubles me about the attacks on Wednesday was the fact that they were coming from China.  This was the day China was hit with a Earthquake. They kept hitting the site and like I told Dave I could not keep up with them so I felt it was better to shut the site down until I could stop it.  They were not after data they just wanted to inject their scripts into the pages and these scripts would send visitors to other sites.  CADO was not the only site to get hit, I read an article that stated the number was around 500,000.   Here is one article on the attack, http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/27843 , as result we had to remove\repair some the old archive pages.
