Some houses in Humble side of the San Jacinto below the 59 bridge got an inch or so of water and scattered reports in other areas; but this is not a big flood event for Houston. The deaths were in auto's in underpasses.

Update on flooding...in texas Pearland still flooded, over 6 additional inches in Liberty countythis afternoon many homes flooded, homes flooded in conroe, high winds near Austin near Marble Falls residents said roofs where blown off weather service stated winds over 60 miles an hour. Some areas of Houston expect additonal 5 inches in some areas tonight..I just went and looked at the San Jacinto River at Hwy 59 it is crested and will start spilling over with too much more rain it is over flood stage now. Will have to see what the new rain brings.....
