This job description will help a lot of new people who spent money on exatamate classes. I would contact Citizens and get a list of their contractor/vendor and get on the sign up sheet.

Hint to Mr. John Glasglow Take a three day Exata Mate Class for $399.00. A license class for $400.00 then when a cat 4-5 hits Florida sign up with a Citizens Vendor for  a Desktop 1 adjuster @ 60% 0f $450.00 per day (no per deim) or $270.00 per day before tax. From this starting point you should be able to work you way up the cat. adjusting ladder to what you think you are worth per pay in about 37 years and 19 days.  Good luck Mr. G.

But Rayyyy he wants the money nnnooowww. Why should he have to pay dues and wait? Thats for the kind of losers who make a career of this. Not those that are going to make their bundle and go.

Still sliding down the razorblade of life.

Looks like Citizens fee schedule  along with the NFIP fee schedule will be the low water mark that all other vendors will use as a guide to get business by cutting rates.

The real question is who will be impacted  most ?  Use 5 as the top and 1 as some knowledge.

They tried the low fee schedule thing prior to 04-05. Do they need to be taught that lesson all over again already?

Wes-were these fees shown on page 38-41 similar to those seasons?

I'm curious due to the fee for instance on reinspection fee at $50.00(not to include if it is just missed scope from 1st inspection). I can't imagine many adjusters willing to work for that fee on reinspections? Were they in reality actually moving them to the daily rates as clean up adjusters to get them to stay and work clean up?(Speaking of daily rates- they show they will not offer per diem this year to inside adjusters not on the Q&A team like they did in 05)

**this is posted on their website for adjusting firms applying for their work this month with announcements on the selected firms the end of May 2007 for those handling claims June 07- May 09 according to this PDF

Also- I'm very concerned for adjusting firms regarding the FINES which are significant shown on page 41 for failure of adjusters to meet service levels outlined. They include things like a 1K fine to adjusting firm for an adjuster's late arrival, 1K fine per file for failing to meet Time Tables shown in the PDF such as first contact and inspection dates(and how many communities do you know that civil authority prohibited adjuster entry into subdivisions within the time frames shown in those schedules!)..see page 41....did they have those fines in 04/05 and were they enforced if so? There are even fines per adjuster who has to be sent home due to poor work product,etc..Very scary for those who have taken a 3 day class and don't know file requirements!

It appears due to the fines involved that this looks like risky business depending on how they enforce the fines and how adjusting firms pass those on to the adjusters working for them. I would also think adjusting firms would not be sending in trainee adjusters with such stiff fines posted as well as experience levels spelled out for each position.

With Citizens of FL now the #1 insurer in FL with over 1 million policies and a multitude of cancellations now going on with the Gov Christ rate situation, it looks like many adjusters will have no choice but to work for vendors working Citizens losses on a major storm in FL?

I'm also curious with the news this week of Citizens in LA unable to reconstruct financial records for the past 18 months if adjusters are experiencing payment problems on fees on the Citizens of LA claims?

This amendment is on their website to the one link originally provided and includes a revision to Exhibit B the fee schedule. I haven't had time to compare this to the original exhibit yet to see what has changed from their original post of the Fee Schedule Exhibit:

An additional damage re-inspection at $50 plus the delta in the schedule will not work.

Note on page 8 that total losses will now pay a flat $700 for a Sq Ft Est only when paying policy limits -- no more high fee bills for a couple of photos and a one line estimate -- (I saw a lot of those in 04/05 file review--some weren't even total losses per the photos!).

Most adjusters missed the $50 fee for steep roof 7/12 or greater on their files. All it requires is a good CLEAR photo of the pitch guage showing it and then adding it into the fee bill.
