    Taking the test on Friday August 14, how difficult is the test?

    There are two tests... the AM test is more of a broad knowledge test- some policy, some math, etc.  It is easier than the PM test which is more about estimatic calculations and more detailed as to construction.   Know the study manual well, and pay attention in the IDL, as they indireclty do cover some of the test questions in that. Good luck.

    Marriot in Dallas near DFW.

    Thanks for the info on the test structure, I know the manual fairly well, I'm a general contrator and builder by trade so hopefully the construction won't be that difficult, policy, the policy for the exam was totally different from the one we trained with.

    Its been years since I took the test, but I failed the furst test 2 times. If you can memorize the material you can pass. I had 30 years experience and only passed on the 3rd try with a 96. If I had to take it the 4th time I would have made 100 as I both memorized by then.

    I just took the first test this afternoon after the IDL with PILOT in Mobile.  The test was long and not what I would call easy but if you have construction experience you should be okay.  The part that takes the longest is the SF policy questions.  Its a little more coplicated than the TWIA and Allstate policy but not too bad.  I am taking the second tomorrow morning.  Did you experience the same thing?

    Hey All!!! i just passed both of the State Farm  Wind and Hail/Basic Estimatics exams today, hosted by Worley in New Orleans. I cant regurgitate the contents of the tests, but can tell you that Worley did a great job of clarifying questions I had about the material.  time management along with product knowledge is key.

    I passed the second one this morning in Mobile.  Basic Estimatics was the name of the game!  Not too hard as long as you have some background and construction knowledge.  From the sounds of it State Farm should be pretty nice to work for.  Seems pretty organized.  Of course I'm sure there is some disarray when a CAT hits.

    Passed!!!!!!!!! That was stressful up to the test with all the hype of being a difficult test. The test was not that hard, you just had to take your time and think through each question.

    You need to sign up with one of 4 adjusting company that works State Farm claims. The next ones are in mid-nov.Have to be on their roster first.
    Eberls-denver and dallas, Worley- louisianna,Pilot -mobile, al and Ea Renfroe in Birminghan, al.

    Once you get certified with State Farm do you have to re-certify every year or how does that work? I was certified back in 05 with Rita in Lake Charles, LA. Do they still want you to complete the estimate and pay the claim on the spot? Thanks.

    I was my understanding that once you pass both sections thats it.
    At least until the rules change.
