| Local television is reporting baseball size hail and other damge in the following locations after the Friday evening storm: Fort Worth: 121 and Harwood and Highway 121 at Beach Street (This is also where the tornado hit), and Lake Worth Colleyville, Texas (North of DFW Airport) DFW Airport North Richland Hills, Texas (North Fort Worth) Saginaw, Texas (North Fort Worth)

| This was all over the news. I was at the Mavericks/Jazz game during this with my friend from North Richland Hills and his wife called and said it was terrible. | i are a roofer.
we are not storm chasers, we do tile roofs, and small ( 200 square) commercial work. we have more work than we can handle.
skylites are damaged for sure. also vents.
some i have been on will not cover deductible for damages.
does the homeowner get charged a claim if there is not enough damage for replacement? i believe in a catastrophe they are not.
once again, in my opinion, from what i have seen in this area, very marginal.
low slopes obviously suffering most damage. i have been @ Hwy. 26 & 121. lots of damage that would leave me questioning to total roof or not.
what are the hits per square going to be? | | | |

For all adjusters....the next time you meet a roofer to discuss a claim, remember this post....and the words " I are a roofer". nuf sayd. Go get em' Jimbo and Git R Dun!!!

i was trying to be considerate, so i dont have my customers call in for not enough damage. i guess with A-holes like you out there, i need to have everybody ask for an assesment of damage.

| Brooks, you will need to find, as a rule, 10 definitive hits per square. Those of course need to be damaging hail strikes, not blisters or eruptions.

| the ones i saw, had indentions under the tab.
some slopes had plenty of hits. South & West. other 2 were clean.
thanks for your help Tom.
with the Texas deductibles, i think homeowners should wait for the huge hits. (if they want their carrier to pay for roof)
lots of people can get a roof, and pay the deductible, but is that really the best course of action? | | | |
