I am looking for a referral to an expert in plaster walls, ceilings and decorative finishes specifically for buildings circa 1840. This person or firm should have hands on capabilities as well as expert witness or consultant credentials. This entity should be able to provide an unbiased opinion as to the structural integrity of plaster finishes in a building that was subjected to Katrina"s winds and a subsequent fire. Jeff M. Poreé with "J. Poreé Stucco" possesses a notable reputation with property owners in the French Quarter.  One loss I specifically recall him working on consisted of some ornate plaster crown molding in a house built in 1820.  The other three risks were in the Vieuxx Carré District as well.
