Hi,

I've just reinstalled Xactimate 2002 and Xactimate for Remodelers on a cleanly installed Windows XP SP2 with all updates.

Problem is every time I go to the "[Line Item Entry]" screen where it shows the images etc, Xactimate 2002 locks up/freezes/crashes within a few seconds. (app not responding) I have to close it and end the app. Error is always Hung-app. It always locks up on any estimates once I get to the "[Line Item Entry]"

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and if there is a fix or remedy for the situation.

I don't personally use the software, I'm just installing it for a friend who owns a construction company and the PC was screwed up by

spy-ware to the point where a clean reinstall was needed.

Kris, had the same problem.  Here is what you do:

-go back into Line item entry

-do not enter anyyhting

-on the top of the window, select either, "View", Window or Tools (im currently in x24 and its different)

-within one of those drop down lists, look for two0line item or something and un-check it.

This will remedy the mockup.  It was explained to me that Windows XP does not support the two column colors within the line item estimate.  Unchecking this option will take care of it.  You may have too uncheck it with a new claim.
