| Understand shake was felt in Louisville, KY and at an appreciable rate.
Difficulty is who had specific EQ coverage. Perhaps some policies did not exclude EQ?
There will surely be hundreds if not thousands of HO's who will report damage, and perhaps require inspections ,so carriers can issue denials?

| | Although it was not the New Madrid fault that caused this, the area affected would be affected if the threatened big one from the New Madrid let's loose. I would venture to guess there are a fair amount of EQ coverages in that area. One thing that comes into play is it is in the heart of the farming country and not close to metro areas where you would have a lot of buildings that could be affected. | | | |

| | Back during the 94 quake we did a ton of no coverage denial inspections. This was to document the actual EQ damage (so it was not later paid for on some other type claim) and to provide a denial letter to the insured. Seems FEMA and SBA needed something so the could process the loans and grants so repairs could be made. Sign me up to take photos any day. | | | |

| Spoke to client in St. Louis just now, he said in MO they offer EQ coverage to all HO policies, and a lot of them buy it because of the New Madrid, which runs from St. Louis to Memphis, TN.
Perhaps there will be some work after all. | | "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new... Albert Einstein" | |
