| Nevada Commissioner Declares Catastrophe in Response to Winter Storm | January 5, 2008 Commissioner Declares Catastrophe in Response to Winter Storm (Carson City) - Due to the damages caused by the rain, heavy snow and high winds in the projected series of storms in northern Nevada this weekend, Commissioner of Insurance Alice A. Molasky-Arman has given temporary approval for non-resident adjusters to adjust claims in the northern Nevada area for damage caused by the storms. This will assist insurance companies in expediting claims and assessing the amount of damages. Under ordinary circumstances, only resident adjusters are permitted to handle claims. Nevada law, however, allows the commissioner to make exceptions during catastrophes. In addition, her agency has contacted major insurers in the area to make certain enough adjusting teams are available, which will increase the speed of benefit payments for property damage. (source)

| | | FEMA Inspections for ProfessionalsDear Fellow Adjusters and Friends,
As a licensed adjuster I have been working in the past as a cat adjuster and also for FEMA’s Contractors PaRR of Dewberry Davis and Alltech of Parsons Brinckerhoff.
Both of these companies are guilty of horrendous acts and violations of American Law.
.
That is about to change as I have dedicated the past two years trying to stopping their abuses of the American workers, disaster victims and taxpayers.
Attorneys have been secured and complaints filed which you may view at www.FEMASbest.com.
I believe that every FEMA Inspector should have proper training and at least an Insurance Adjusters Licence as part of his qualifications to do the job as an FEMA Inspector.
With this as a goal I continue on my struggle with having Professional People as yourself have an opportunity to also do FEMA work and get paid as a professional for it. I have always had a deep respect for Insurance Adjusters and the People of CADO and hope to open up new opportunities in the work field for all of you.

| | | Calif insurance commissioner declares insurance emergencyCalifornia Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner declared an "insurance emergency" on Wednesday because of the Southern California wildfires. The declaration temporarily removes the ban on out-of-state claims adjusters lacking California licenses. Poizner said that lifting the ban will help insurance companies better deal with the expected crunch of fire claims. He estimated that more than $1 billion in property damage has already occurred. | Category:
